Brazilian animated series
TOCO & ROCO is a dialogue-free clay animation series about two beaver brothers who live in a swamp. Toco, the older one, builds everything with care; Roco, the younger one, prefers to do nothing — and gets in the way precisely when he decides to help. The humor comes from the clash between the two, and the swamp always gets the last word.
Handmade clay stop-motion

Every episode is a small mess in the swamp.

EP0230 s
Toco makes perfect spirals out of clay, but Roco distracts him to eat them all, swap the plates, and make him fall into the mud.

EP0330 s
Toco and Roco try to cross the swamp in silence among twelve sleepy alligators, but an uncontrollable sneeze from Roco wakes the whole group up.

EP0430 s
Toco finishes the leaf boat and leaves to fetch wooden figures. Roco gets into the vessel, which slowly sinks under his weight.
Two brothers, two temperaments, and a swamp that would not be the same without either of them.

The series takes place in swamps and bayous inspired by the Atchafalaya Basin, where nature is the perfect stage for great (and small) adventures.
Living nature that reacts and settles the scene.
Fingerprints left in plain sight, nothing polished.
No speech, no subtitles — only timing.
One brother's method meets the other's improvising.

Renato Souto Maior
I am Renato, creator of TOCO & ROCO. The series was born from what has always drawn me to animation: clay, stop-motion, and stories told without a single word — the path of Pingu and Shaun the Sheep. 2. What interests me is humor that needs no speech. A gesture, a pause, something going wrong at the exact right time: that crosses any language, and it is what Toco and Roco do in every episode. 3. I produce independently, using artificial intelligence as a production tool — to model, animate, and speed up what used to take months. The direction, the ideas, and the timing remain handwork.
